Aromawave (“Aromawave”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates our website and online store, and our mobile application for iOS and Android (together, the “Services”). 1.1 Information you provide to us

1.2 Order and payment information

We may collect order history, transaction details, and payment method details. Actual card numbers are not accessible to us. Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments, PayPal, Afterpay, and any other payment partners that may be enabled.

1.3 Account information

If you create an account, we may collect your username, password, saved items, preferences, and communication settings.

1.4 Device and technical information

We may collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, time zone, device identifiers, pages viewed, and session activity.

1.9 Information used by the Aromawave App

The Aromawave App is designed to connect your diffuser to your mobile device via Bluetooth. We keep data collection to the minimum necessary.

  • The App does not collect or store personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, payment details, or identity information.

  • Diffuser settings you create, such as timer schedules, modes, or custom device names, are stored locally on your device and/or diffuser. They are not transmitted to Aromawave or third parties.

  • The App may request access to location services. On Android, location permission is required by the operating system to detect and connect to Bluetooth devices. On iOS, location access is used to detect your current time zone so schedules and timers function correctly.

  • Location data is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties. We do not track your movement or use location data for advertising or analytics.


2. How we collect personal information

We collect information in the following ways.

  • subscribe to emails or SMS

4.1 Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which collects and processes data to operate the platform.

4.2 Payment partners

This may include Shopify Payments, PayPal, Afterpay, and any future providers that may be enabled.

4.3 Marketing and advertising partners

Where enabled, this may include Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Google, and their associated advertising technology tools.

4.4 Shipping and fulfilment partners

The Aromawave App does not use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or external cloud storage for App settings. App settings remain on your device and/or diffuser.

When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Diffuser settings and configurations created in the App remain stored only on your phone and/or diffuser. No App settings are uploaded to Aromawave servers.

You may disable location services in your device settings, although this may limit Bluetooth detection on Android and scheduling accuracy on iOS. You can also manage Bluetooth and notification permissions through your device settings.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.


9. Security

While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • encryption where appropriate

  • strict access controls

  • secure hosting environments

  • staff awareness and privacy training

  • fraud detection and monitoring systems

The App stores diffuser settings locally on your device and/or diffuser and does not upload those settings to our servers.

We rely on Shopify’s and our partners’ data protection practices and transfer mechanisms to help protect your personal information when it is processed overseas.

The App does not upload diffuser settings to Aromawave servers. Where you interact with third-party platforms, such as downloading the App via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms may process information under their own privacy policies.
